Flowers

A. Fresh flowers are recently cut flowers that require care and attention. Changing water, cutting stems, and storing in a cool location will help extend their life. Fresh flowers last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on the flower type and how well they are cared for. (They are like the high-maintenance divas of the flower world).

A. Preserved flowers are real flowers that have been treated with a special solution to extend their lifespan. They remain pliable and colorful, and can last several months to even years! They look just like fresh flowers, but without the hassle. (They are like the low-maintenance friends who are cool with just hanging out on the couch and watching Netflix).

A. Dried flowers are simply flowers that have been dried out (kinda like beef jerky), usually through air-drying, pressing, or using a drying agent like silica gel. Dried flowers are more fragile than preserved flowers, but are perfect for things such as crafting, adding to wreaths, flower art, and for displaying dried flower arrangements in your home.

A. Preserved flowers, on the other hand, are real flowers that have been treated with a special solution to maintain their original shape, color, and texture. (Similar to the look of fresh flowers, but that last much longer!) Preserved flowers are often dyed to ensure that the original color remains vibrant, or dyed a different color from the original color (You want a Black colored Rose, you got it)! Preserved flowers can be used for anything including craft projects, home decor, and in flower arrangements.

A. Dried and preserved flowers don't require any special care or maintenance. It's like taking care of a cactus - just leave them alone! Just keep flowers in a dry and protected place away from direct sunlight and humidity, and they'll stay looking fabulous. Direct sunlight can fade the color of the flowers. And please do not place dried or preserved flowers in water unless you like moldy stems.

A. Dried and preserved flowers can last several months to years if well cared for.  *Note that dried flowers are more fragile that preserved flowers, so make sure to keep them away from your children and cats.
